Happy New Year!
Here is my Full Blue Moon collage for the New Year.
I like to think of it as my intention collage.
My word for 2010 ~ Intend.
My other words are Deliberately Create and Celebrate.
2010 ~ my year to Intend, Deliberately Create, and Celebrate.
Later this week I intend to write a mondo beyondo list, but first I will fill you in on what I have been up to.
I started working. I applied to a ton of companies right before school started in the fall. I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for. The month of October I worked at Green Briar Nature Center as a Naturalist teaching elementary school children about the pond and forest. Even though the job didn't pay well, I loved it! I hope I get asked to do it again when the Center has more funding and hours available. While working at the Nature Center I also began working for the Gap as a supervisor, but the schedule didn't work out.
For the past 8 weeks I have been working as a teller at a Bank. I was very excited when I was offered this job. I thought the hours that I had said I could work (from 9-3 while the kids are at school) would really be ideal. But I kept being scheduled after 3. It was extremely frustrating to constantly have to explain I can't work past 3. I had to continuously scamper to find someone to watch Ethan and Maggie when I was scheduled outside my availability, or if the children had a day off from school, or if one of them were sick. It caused me endless stress! I decided to quit because of the schedule and the high pressure sales. I was told during my interview I would have sales goals, but I was not prepared how pressured I would feel to open checking accounts. It just isn't something that feels good to me.
Taking care of the house, my family, and myself is a full time job! I don't have to get another part time job, but I want to. Even the little bit I am earning (in comparison to what I earned when I worked full time before I became a stay at home mom) was able to help me shift my feelings of abundance. I no longer stress out every time some unexpected expense comes up. Now I am trying to find a job where I can work at night when the children are in bed. I applied to a bunch of places with evening shifts like CVS, KMart, Stop & Shop, and some inventory service companies. I want to find a flexible, pleasant, interesting work environment. I would love any suggestions for jobs I could do from home or in the evening!
Working and Holidays have kept my life full. I am grateful that I have been able to enjoy lots of wonderful family time, but I have spent very little time creating by myself. I have been creating ALOT with Ethan and Maggie. We even started a blog together; Twishes in Trees. We made the banner together. I intend to post our creative adventures and gratitude lists there. I have continued my practice of meditating and listening to Abraham-Hicks. I intend to re-start my Be Alive Believe Be You blog and post about deliberate creating and my virtual reality there. Deliberate Creating is a huge part of my life and I want to interact with others who are enjoying learning from Abraham-Hicks.
That is what has been happening in my world. I will be back soon!
I would love to hear what you have been up to!~
